From one source, James Madison University, provided by Google University AI, briefly says, "The study of philosophy enhances a person's problem-solving capacities. It helps us to analyze concepts, definitions, arguments, and problems. It contributes to our capacity to organize ideas and issues, to deal with questions of value, and to extract what is essential from large quantities of information."

Next, is an image shown on my Facebook feed that captured my inquiring mind I thought I would share.

Questions began to formulate such as is 'space' the result of hitting the biggest key on a keyboard that it was decided to call it a bar instead of a key? It is the only mechanism - key or bar, that is initiated by the opposable thumb that allows us to grasp things. Do we need space to grasp things? How does that enter the fray for why we don't understand things? Art says the areas around an object is negative space and the area occupied by the object is positive space. How does that work with reasoning. Time to take a breath of fresh air . . .

    Consider,

Any questions of your own come to mind?

    Thoughts, criticisms, accolades, and/or commentary?

I love those images. It all depends how we look at things doesn’t it. There can be more than one truth.
Oh, I thought a “space bar” was where all the aliens gather to share a drink.

The Japanese have a very interesting concept called "Ma".
Negative space is a simplified translation of this term.
But it involves the space between two notes played. The silence between two hand claps. The things not said but present.
The room where space becomes form and is changed by entering the room.
Ma is a concept used to create gardens and interiors of houses.
It's also used in Japanese film where there is before or after some action, time for contemplation often where the weather is noticeably present. Sitting in the rain, listening to the wind, It's the flow of time being aware of your surroundings. Being in the now.

This is a good feed for the mind, Tim. Here, I am typing some letters on a blank space. The space is black on my computer so that I can read the letters. Without some background, you can't view anything. The blue sky, blue sea, grey earth—all these contrast with some background that we are able to witness and enjoy. Space provides these things. So, without space, there is no perception or knowledge.

John, I was smiling at the way you turned a serious philosophical perception into a humorous one. Thanks for cheering up me.

Space is something we all can ponder. There is more space than matter with our current understanding of the universe. I'm still trying to wrap my head around that art says the space around an object is negative and the area. occupied by the object is positive. Odd things like electrical charge comes to mind and I am pondering sentence structure with and without and object. Like I said weird.
