Thank you, Nikki.
And may God bless you too as He bless the whole planet in these troubled times. We are all living on borrowed time and God the Creator will soon be coming for us.
No need to do anything decent then eh? We just sit and wait for the dead guy to turn up!
Gods blessing is not necessarily always a blessing toward good. Whenever god blessing is imputed, whether it is stated or not the blessing always is directed to Gods will and purpose for that persons life and essentially what the blessing does is point God in that direction for consideration, of the person the blessing is directed at. Which means, whether a person thinks, says, believes or neither of those, God is trying to figure out what to do with the person who is being (ironically) blessed.
Its way easier to ask God to bless a saved person than anunsaved sinner, often the blessing becomes a tribulation because gods number one will is: that all souls be saved. And what brings people to god? often quickly! is when they hit rock bottom. God bless you very very much.
The highlighted portion of your post was highlighted because it defies everything you claim to know about your supposed "god", considering "god" is suppose to already have all answers to everything. Therefore, "god" would not try to figure out anything.
Yes, I have often noticed that people who have ruined their lives become very religious. What do you think that proves other than that they are desperate?
Prisons are full of very religious people for the same reasons.
Wanting something to be be true does not make it true.
What does this prove or how does this educate or improve anyones life???
This is a great thread that makes people glad to be alive. Blessings to all. AMEN
Brother Earnest is just pointing out that blindly following an ancient religion is not conducive to any great improvements in civilization. In fact it is counter to the change and reasoned thinking that is essential to the evolution of society to cope with the modern world where morals and thinking from a time of slavery and subjugation of whole peoples just leads to more of the same today.
The morals of today are so much better than 200 years ago? No there were Christian fighting slavery even then. Slavery does not exist now in 2010? Oh thats right, and in Islamic countries we have better treatment than in other countries? In secular countries we have better morals and equal rights for all! Could you point out that country? No we even in this country exchanged the color for the poor, uneducated and the sick to make the new slaves who have to beg for everything.
Thank you very much! Colossians 1:13 says, He (God) has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love. All praise be to God!
Awesome...
Even as we walk through the valley of Darkness we are blessed with the Light!
And this kind of mindless and meaningless line is pure emotional self satisfaction.
If you're walking through a valley of darkness, I would suggest you open your eyes. You might be able to see better.
I have seen the glory of the light of the world. Open your heart and see what is there!
What a heap of condescending b@llsh@t - surely it is time that HP finds some way to limit these constant streams of religious spam.
If it is not possible because of 'fairness' to religions then I might start selling Nike trainers as "god bless you for wearing Nike trainers and keeping you sure footed in the rain - Nike is praying for you."
That's not a bad business idea. I'm sure you can cash in on that. I'm just not sure what Nike's comment might be...
Aside from differences of religious view, there is no harm in wishing anyone well. Nikki's sentiment may be from her own view, but is quite a positive approach meant for anyone who would accept it. I'm not sure that's adequate cause for debate.

What sounds better to you: Good luck or God bless? In my opinion Christians use the term "Good luck!" why too much! Is it a phrase that Christians should us at all?

I have often been asked, when is a good time to pray the Rosary ?. My answer is while driving. The "RING ROSARY" is perfect. It is small and can fit on your finger and will not interfere with your driving. You can purchase a Ring Rosary at any religious store or on eBay and they are...

I do not know if this is a proper way to address this, but I am making a plea for a call to prayer for all those affected in this most dangerous storm's path (many here on HP, our friends, i.e., Colin a.k.a. Epigramman, Joseph De Cross, a.k.a. Lord De Cross, Mary (tillsontitan) from NYC and many...

Why do you say "Bless you" or "God bless you" when somebody sneezes? My children asked me, and I was not sure what to say. What's your opinion about saying "bless you" for sneezes?

Why do we say bless you when people sneeze?

Please pray for us. My husband has been out of work for several months. We are losing our home due to this situation but also due to the unrighteous antics of my ex husband. And due to a nasty and completely unrighteous legal battle against us by my ex husband, our credit is ruined. My ex husband...
