Something to think about before you try to make sense of this subject
What do we really know about Heaven?

    ...Where is it?

    .....Who or what is there?

.........What will I do if I get there?

............Will I remember my earthly life?

..................What will I look like as a spirit?

........................Will I continue as myself or as another entity?

All your questions have answers, except if you expect them to be defined by the things you see, feel, smell, hear etc you would always go astray because you would then be limiting their reality.

Heaven is a place not limited to by specific location cause it is every where and even nowhere.

Heaven is that place which contain every imaginable thing.

You would have to do absolutely nothing to get there, cause you are already there but have not yet realized it.

There would be no need to remember anything in heaven cause all things are already with you.

As a Spirit you can look exactly as you desire to be.

You need not change your identity, instead you would just be absolutely sure of your present Identity.

This is the unlimited nature of Heaven, one need just to realize it. And when this realization comes you can then say the kingdom of heaven  is come oln earth and it's in you and with you.

All one need is truth and when Truth comes you would realize that you were already engulf in it within and without.

Sorry, but these aren't the answers to the questions.

These answers don't have any connection to anything here.

There are many people here that don't have to do anything.
If you can imagine it then it isn't heaven.
People on earth morn their dead, but there is no need as there is no connection to them in Heaven according to your answer.
As a spirit you would be nothing.

This is as vague and ambiguous as Genesis.

In any case thanks for your answers.

Disregarding the word 'heaven', as it tends to have a religious connotation, the concept is akin to the old saying, "Who feels it knows it."  This is the nature of being.  Kess answers all the questions.  Where - within you, here.  What - anything you can imagine.  Who is there - anyone you can imagine.  Remembering - spirit remembers all that it desires to remember.  Spirit - purity, the absence of affliction as manifested in ignorance, egoism, attachment, aversion, and the desire to cling to life.

The cause of the avoidable (affliction) is the superimposition of the external world onto the unseen world.  Spirit is pure consciousness.  But though it is pure, it sees through the mind and is identified by ego as being only in the mind.  The very existence of the seen is for the sake of the seer.  It is for the distinct recognition of the objective world as well as for the recognition of the distinct nature of the seer.  The seer must dissassociate from the seen.  This is known as discrimination.  It is a means of obtaining spiritual liberation.

Enough to know that the word "Heaven" is a metaphor Jesus used in his parable teachings.
      Earth.
      Presently, 6.6 Billion humans.
This is irrelevant, because your actions are always your actions.
This can only be answered with conjecture based on myth. Once your dead, have complete loss of consciousness, you're done.
Another question that can only be answered with conjecture based on myth. There is no proof a spirit or soul actually exists. "Spirit" and "Soul" should only be used when describing someone's actions. Nothing more.
Another question for conjecture based on myth. Complete loss of consciousness means there is no awareness of existence. To say consciousness is elevated to a higher realm after death is conjecture, unproven myth.

Your questions are irrelevant to the true concept of heaven and hell.

Heaven is to achieve the purpose of life set for the human beings by the Creator-God; and hell is not to achieve it.

      Please correct your concept.

Brenda - Actually, with respect, the way I understand the teachings, we are to attain all, everything, even the knowledge which is God, the center, the eye.  The metaphor 'heaven' is the convergence of all knowledge separated from desire, purity of mind, the knowledge of why and how of existence confirmed in non-possessiveness, santification and the removal of impurities, communion with Lord in the form most admired.

              that's quran.

according to the bible we become like the angels and are not given in marriage.. that doesn't mean we just don't marry. When talking about flesh, male and female that part doesn't exist. We have no need of a single partner. We have no need of public toilets; as we are in spiritual bodies we neither eat nor sleep nor procreate nor function as our fleshly bodies did.

Read the book "Embraced by the light". It will clearly explain it. When mom passed this past August I actually felt and seen her spirit move from her body. Heaven is a beautiful place I have had the opportunity to see it myself. I can't explain it but I know it is there. "Embraced by the light" reassured me that what my experience that happened when I was young was a blessing to see. smile

FYI: mom's spirit was clear I can't explain it, but if you get a bottle of bubbles and look through them it will look like your spirit which is clear.

I think we need to ask ourselves these questions:

If there is a Heaven, if you die at 90 are you going to be a 90 year old man there?

Are you going to live forever without aging or are you going to remain a 90 year old man or do you revert to your younger self?

Heaven must be a place full of people from the last 250,000 years?

Will we know our family or will our memories be erased?

If there is Heaven why has anyone come back to tell about it?

If there is a Heaven with eternal life why would you want to live for ever, life will get pretty boring eventually would you think so?

If there is a Heaven you would see your entire family tree if Heaven is what people believe it is. Think about?

If there is a Heaven how would you get there? Your body is in the ground decomposing and your consciousness ceased to exist after you die. You only have consciousness when you are alive.

I can go on and on with this. I am coming to the conclusion Heaven is just a  mythical place started by cultures thousands of years ago because people tried to explain what happen to them once they die.
