    Only for believers.
I expect all of you to go to heaven. But when you get there, you find that, a good number of your close relatives and dear friends are in hell and not heaven. Will you be happy? Will you enjoy "heaven"?

By that time it won't matter. When you return your only interest should be in serving God.

That is comforting. When my brother is in eternal hell, I can easily forget him and think only about how to serve the most loving(for sending my brother to hell)!!
        That is quite a love!

If your brother ends up in "Hell" as you call it, which happens to be the wrong term to use, as "Hell" is a temporary waiting place, the proper term is "Lake of Fire", but yes if he ended up in the lake of fire, he alone chose to refuse to know and acknowledge Jesus Christ as his savior so he alone chose his place of destiny not God.

Since He chose that, I'll have no qualms in enjoying in heaven, Thats love?
When my brother is unhappy, irrespective of who caused that, i feel sorry for him and try to help him and i won't be happy till he is. I'm not a Christian, so I may not understand the Christian love you described.

Your brother dies, and then you die. You arrive in heaven meaning you accepted Jesus Christ as your savior before dying. You look to find your brother and learn that he is not in heaven. Why? Because your brother "Chose" to deny God and Jesus, he "Chose" to refuse salvation, the salvation offered every man woman and child which would have brought him to heaven. Your brother made the wrong choice. You may think of him. You may remember him but you will never see him again, like it or not.

Without our loved ones, heaven carry no meaning. The joy is in sharing.
You can enjoy, without your loved ones. Thats your Christian love.
                I can't, I'm not selfish.

Such a shame that 98% of humanity will never get to Heaven Dave. All those born before 2000 years ago, all those living in the Americas before 1492, all those aborigines living in Australia before Captain Cook, all those living in Islamic countries whole cave only heard Islam, all those in the Soviet Union and China who never heard because of religious repression, all those in medieval Europe living under the abusive Catholic Church that denied the truth, all of them disqualified from Heaven for eternity because they were never given an opportunity to ask Jesus into their hearts. Such a loss, such a waste. Hardly the great victory is it? Looks like God's mission was a complete unmitigated failure. There's something wrong with this version of the gospel Dave.

It really is quite stunning that grown adults will take those myths to such ridiculous extremes, and actually believe it, like it or not. lol

      @ the non believers

If you don't have concept of heaven or hell; will you enjoy if your dear one's die all of a sudden and there is no hope to meet them again?

What enjoyment you get then and why?

Have you got a problem with comprehension?
The question is "will you be happy, when your dear ones are not? And if you are not happy, then what is heaven?"

According to the bible nobody goes to heaven when they die. We live, we die, we rot in the grave, our consciousness is said to be sleeping, until the resurrection. At the completeness of all things we have hope that we will once again live on a renewed Earth.

Going to heaven is Catholic folklore and going to Hell is a pagan concept adopted by the Church as a device to scare the population into obedience to the Church.

The lake of fire isn't literal just as none of the rest of Revelation is literal. It is a picture of a consuming fire, and as God is a consuming fire, it is a picture of God Himself. It is the same consuming fire that tests each man's work that Paul was talking about. Some people's work will stand and they will receive a reward, others will have there's burnt up but they shall still be saved.

Now watch the fundies try to burn me at the stake for heresy.

What "if"  the first resurrection has already happened?  Just suppose it has ...

Rev 14:13    Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord henceforth, that they may rest from their labors, and their works do follow them.

It seems as though this chapter is talking about the first resurrection and people continue to live here on earth ...  And during this time, believers do go to heaven and others sleep in their graves until the second resurrection.

          Is there another explanation?

Hi Jerami!  Yes, there is another. Revelation 14 is talking about the reaping of the earth that Jesus foretold of in Mat 13:24-30, 37-43; 24:31. I have a hub you might be interested in, Revelation's Tribulation Events in Chronological Order, that concludes with a chart showing when this reaping takes place. I do not relate it to any calendar date, but to the other events in Revelation. I'm thinking chapter 14 is talking about the first resurrection, too, but it is  *part* of it. Chapter six says those who are slaughtered because of their testimony, their souls go to heaven to await God's final reaping and then His wrath being poured out on the evil beast. The rest of the first resurrection, that of the bodies of those slaughtered for their testimony, occurs *after* His wrath has been poured out, in Rev 20:4.

Hell is not a Pagan concept. NEVER was or has been. Pagans don't believe in Hell or no Christian made Devil/Satan. You are quite wrong on that.

The Christian Church came up with Hell/Devil?Satan to scare people, yes, but they did NOT take it from ANY Pagan concepts.

So ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman belief systems from whence the Catholic Church developed their version of Hell, aren't pagan then? Mmmm.

Hell, Satan/Devil are NOT and NEVER have been concepts in the Pagan Belief system. Christianity was the FIRST to use these concepts.

Hell, Hades, Pluto, underworld. Originally Greek and Roman pagan mythology adopted by the Church. QED.

What is a heaven where you can't have ALL of your loved ones there? That would be a nightmare, I think. Knowing your loved ones are in Hell?

Just another aspect of this whole religion thing I can't grasp.

If I could not be with my loved ones in "heaven" then what would be the point in it??

I personally believe in other things but I just don't get it. IF there was/is a heaven I would hope to be with my entire family/friends when I went there.

No I wouldn't be happy and I would not be able to enjoy myself. That would suck. To say the least.

Then one should try that one's love ones are convinced of doing good deeds and having truful beliefs.

I also believe that heaven would be no fun if my loved ones had not repented and chosen to love God, accepting his grace and forgiveness, but were allowed into heaven. Living with such would become unenjoyable. In other words, there is something better than even the love of our loved ones. Our loved ones who do not repent and end up in the lake of fire will understand why they are there and be glad for us that we made the better choice.

I have always assumed that God would simply reach out and twist our minds, maybe by removing any memory of our spouse, children, siblings, etc.

By doing that He could also make sure the we are enjoying heaven.  I think I would get rather tired of sitting at His feet singing His praises after only a 1000 years or so - the rest of eternity would be pretty boring and not much in the way of happiness.

Absolutely correct   or should I say   ME  TOO.

That is one reason I think that we are in this plain.   Our names were in the book before the world was created.   What does that mean?

We got bored  .....    started getting irritable  ...  time for vacation!
Came here to this great big amusement park called earth.
When our ticket is expired we go back home and face whatever consequences we have coming to us.

That is sumtin sorta what I'm expecting to discoverwhen I get back home.

If everyone knew that is the way that it is ?????   We would sure nuff make a mess here at the amusement park,  and God would have to flood the earth and start over again.
The next time he wouldn't let us know what was going on. SOoos we could enjoy ourselves better.  This is kinda like fantacy Island ..  and ..  here comes ... Da Plane ..  Da Plane.

Jerami: No one knows what duties and activities will be afforded us once we get there. Indeed we will not be bored for we will be busy. I for one would love to be able to spend time with others like Jesus, Moses, Judas, Peter, Abraham and others, getting to talk with them and getting to learn more about them and I know that on the day God looses Jesus on Lucifer we will all be called to join Jesus to stand with Him in that final battle. I especially look forward to that day to finally witness Lucifer and his followers vanquished into the "Lake of Fire" and earth returned to its pristene self before Adam fell. Who knows maybe Adam himself will be there and I can ask him why he chose to listen to Eve and eat of the fruit of that tree. He gave up immortality for a taste of knowledge a taste of evil.

    Jomine,
Realy you know love! Pay great attention, anybody telling you he will enjoy heaven seeing his brothers suffering then tell you he is loving is definitely as evil as the devil with all the horns, the heads and the tail! Moreover, they are either blatant liers or genuine  morons or both! May they rot in hell if they don't change!
