There are many meditation techniques and methods to choose from. Everyone extols the method he or she follows. They do so, because this is what they know and have been practicing. One’s method may not necessarily be appropriate for someone else. That’s why there are so many techniques.

Yoga and Meditation – That Leads to Gaining Enlightenment in This Life?
What kind of Yoga and Meditation leads to gaining Enlightenment?

Every process of Yoga… neigh meditation that frees us from the clutches of attachment… bondage or Moha, whatever we may call it… Is the right process on the path of gaining Enlightenment.
Are Yoga and Meditation two different words with different meanings? No, the truth is not so… we need to understand that it is the path of yoga which shall lead us to gaining Enlightenment within this life. And what does yoga itself mean? The word yoga has been derived from the Hindi root yog and which in Hindi means synthesizing two things. In Hindi two plus two equal four… and the effort of our soul (the atman within) to merge with the super soul (the Parmatman, the Almighty God) is known as yoga.

Yoga in other words is the effort of every soul to merge with the Almighty God at the earliest. And for this to be achieved we need to follow a routine of yogic exercises and also meditate (perform yoga) on the Almighty God. This process of meditation can be best understood once we are able to understand the meaning of Meditation. Meditation in Hindi means yoga. Never otherwise or vice versa!

    Meditate:
to think in owns heart, to ponder, to foster.
the uniting of the Breath, which is, Life.

[Arabic: ruh or ruha; Greek: pneuma; Hebrew: ruach; Hindi: Om].

In Chinese Chi or jing, In Japanese Ki. The center of one's self is not a place, it is a state of mind.

so christ died so that everyone could yoga in the morning, yoga in the evening, yoga all the time...

the path to enlightenment through yoga is delusion, because you will not find God at the end of a yoga path. If you do yoga for health reasons, np, but to find God its just the vanity of the mind speaking.

There is no evidence that you will find a god anywhere. That you tell others they are wrong while not being able to back up your own claims is a little arrogant don't you think?

        my claims are confident.
You speak from what you know or want to know or prefer to ignore and that is fine with you as you go about saying what you want to say.

But when someone else speaks what they know you call it arrogant.
Isn't that just a little arrogant?

You see how your viewpoints are hypocritical and your opinions are completely bias.

There is tons of evidence that God is everywhere.
I figure that others reading my posts will think that your self serving claims that i don't back up what i say will have the readers laughing at you - not me.

        have a good day

As opposed to listening to some inane preaching, by an equally inane preacher? I would rather wash the underside of a yoga master, than listen to brain destroying rants of a delusional christian any day.

        Your comments are quite deluded
Am i to think that you actually would wash the underside of a yoga master?

Then why are you in here? If you do not want to listen then dont go to the concert.
        You are quite deluded yourself

Nice to see you are reading what i write. Yoga of course is another distraction from God. People think they are being enlightened just by stimulating neuroreceptors or taking in oxygen and relaxing but this couldnt be farther from the truth.
Its nice to know the truth about yoga for enlightenment sake.
