How do you deal with frustrations in your life?
Sometimes things don't turn out as we plan. This could lead to anxiety, depression or other emotional challenges. What steps do you take to rebound in such situations?
The best way to deal with them is to remind your self of The Serenity Prayer. You can look it up on the web. It is so simple and it works every time. Doing Yoga and meditation is also a good way to reduce stress.
Walking, cycling, prayer, meditation and a large punching bag.
Which one I use depends on what happens that day.
We have three choices when things don't go the way 'our self-image mind' tells us they should be going. 1. We can take steps to change the event or happening. 2. We can move away from it. 3. We can accept it AS IT IS.
Grumbling and complaining won't help. Our negative reactions and identifying with our unpleasant feeling won't help. If we can't do either of the first two, then we need to learn to accept it as it is. We cannot change what is at this moment. We can change the way we 'look at' or 'interpret' the way it is. By changing ourselves (our belief or opinion on the matter) we change our reaction to it.
