Have you ever been lied to by a really smart teenager?
They are going to tell the truth at EVERY opportunity and deviate from the truth ever so slightly where applicable.
This most often fools even the brightest of parents.

This is how a false religion fools "if possible the very elect".
Now; multiply this by three or more major groups each having multiple subtopics and add to this, that it has been going on for a very long, long time. soon the listeners don't know which way is up.

Well that is where we are at.  While having FAITH that our child would never do that.
And all the while, everyone is acting the same,  knowing (?) that we aren't

      That's a scientific fact.

Add your beliefs to this too, as you have been lying to yourself...with a few truths thrown in here and there.

Why would you think that I was excluding myself from an all inclusive statement.

Some boys tell lies for the sake of money or to obtain  their own freedom

Or to explain how the family car has a dent in the fender, or why they came home later than they were supposed to.
For me, there was usually a girl hiding someplace behind my story.

The point I was getting at, is that this technique was prevelant when Constantines religion was being established.
We don't have to change but a few facts in the story to change the whole outcome.

I understand where you are coming from Jerami. One only has to look at the vast differences that have developed between Christanity and its parent religion of Judaism to see that your observation holds out.

Thanks  cause that is what I'm taljing about.

Not as much the continual reinterpretation of the past 1640 but the way in which it was origionally constructed (326).
Change one concept and send it on down the road.

Ever lied to a cop? How old were you the last time you did. Be honest, now!

This kind of truth isn't what I was reffering to but  Honestly???       That woulda been in 1989.
If I get pulled over I never say anything except to answer their questions if they have any. And then I keep the answer as short as posible.

Besides they usually don't ever ask a question that they don't already have the answer.

You gotta be a pretty bright person to out-think a teenager, and visa versa! Good luck to you on that, it isn't easy.

Well if we can remember what it was like to be one ,,,  and then remember how it was when we raise our children it is much easier to stay one step in front of the Grand children.

And remember that sometimes it isn't worth catching them in every deception they pull. Sometimes it is good enough to know and they don't know you know.
      LOL in privacy
