I think all Christians believe that Jesus was the Messiah foretold in the old testament and that he died on the cross and rose up out of the grave; and by doing so in some way atoned for our sins. Preterists, historist and futurist all agree.
Is it a sin to choose one of the above if we choose wrongly? I don't think so, But if it is a sin (?) do we have to repent of that sin in order to be forgiven?
It is not a sin to believe a lie but because of the lie one will sin....
Hope this clarifies.
So repent is merely conditioning the mind so that one is able to discern lies.
So if someone believes the wrong thing, and it causes them to sin, they will be punished even though they believe they are doing good?
There are many awesome things in my statement....
But definitely not in yours.
Maybe you should explain why you need respond to my post, if you are making merely making a statement.
I take it that it was an error on your part....it happens at time.
don't think of it as punishment cause that ain't the deal.
We are given extra rewards for figureing out the right answers.
If you want to call not getting extra credit as a punishment you may do so,

...when Jesus clearly said 'My Father is Greater than I' in John 14:28?Nothing can be greater than God, so by Jesus' own words, we can deduce that Jesus did not profess to be God, because he professes that there is a power Greater than him (Jesus). Why then do many Christians firmly believe that...

To all my friends who thought I was off base in another forum topic when I said there was no hell, I will try here to explain: God that is fair, and not sadistic. If someone was sentenced to an eternity of burning, don't you think the punishment would out weigh the crime? God ,who is our final...
