The Law, the Prophets and the Spirit
Apostolic Revelations
The law was a modernized, compounded and complex or complicated precept of God, the prophets was a real and evidential aspect of God’s precept while the Spirit is a simplified and living precept of God. In the law, disobedience was basically consequential, in the prophets it was divine and almost instantaneous but in the Spirit it is mostly eternal. For the Spirit was a progression and state of transition of the law to the kingdom life.
LAW → PROPHETS → SPIRIT
↓↓↓
LAW (precepts of God) + LAW and Divine presence or reality + LAW and Jesus
LAW (1 + Divine presence or reality +Jesus) = the stages of advancement of the kingdom. The law is common to all but it is just the starting point such that each stage shall be a bit different from the other but with an element of the law. Of course because it is totally blended.
The prophets = the law + divine presence or reality
Disobedience → divine or instantaneous judgement
The Spirit = the law + Jesus
Disobedience → Eternal judgement
The final stage introduces us to the kingdom life “ let your kingdom come” “ let your will be done on earth as it is done in heaven”. The law is given to the carnal man while the prophets to the believers and the spirit to the spiritual man.
The complexity and complication of the law is such that it can accommodate the weakness, hardness, lust and incorrigibility of man. Matt19:3-9 “… why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement and to put away your wives, but from the beginning it was not so”.
But from the Beginning, It was not so
Christ the eternity man, who shall judge all flesh has not come to condemn the law and the prophets, Matt5:17 “ think not that I am come to destroy the law and the prophets. I am not come to destroy but to fulfill it, he has come to make the precept of God practicable and real. He has come “to take us back to the future”… but from the beginning, it was not so. He has come to take us back to the kingdom life. For the garden of Eden was a portrait or picture of the kingdom life.
The Beginning and the End
But from the beginning, it was not so. In the beginning, it was neither the law nor the prophets but it was Christ. The center of all things. The yard stick of heaven, the great judge. But Lucifer assisted in changing God’s order. Now man could seek refuge in another other than in Christ. Man can now hid himself from God, he has got a better way of argument, shifting of blames, to be justified before the eternity man. Gen3:8 “… Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden”.
After this great fall, man began his journey of restoration back to the future. Now this journey was based on how cooperative man was to the regimen of God. Man travelled to the law stage (precept of God) then to the prophets (law and divine presence or reality) but now! We are getting back to the future. It is the dimension of the spirit (law and Jesus). For the spirit encompasses both the law and the prophets. Heb1:1-2 “God who at sundry times and in diverse manner spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets. Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his son…”
Back to the Future
In the kingdom, the law is present but almost unidentifiable. For in Christ Jesus there is no sin. Gen3:8 “And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord and amongst the trees of the garden”. It is obvious here that man was divinely created and designed to hear, perceive or pick the voice of God but the problem from the beginning was that the divine order of God was compromised by man.
Now another important fact is “...the Lord God walking in the garden”. God the Father has got no business and ability to walk in a garden except by His son (Jesus Christ) who is the bodily expression and express image of the father. The father is a spirit and thus express himself bodily only in Christ. John8:53 “ Art thou greater than our father Abraham which is dead? And the prophets are dead… Jesus said unto them, verily verily I say unto you, before Abraham was, I am”. It is now obvious that Christ Jesus was the one that walked in the garden. Christ in the garden was the secret of sinlessness, purity and righteousness. For in his presence and in him is no sin. “… and in him is no sin” 1John3:5. “ whosoever abideth in him sinneth not…” 1John3:6 “whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin… and he cannot sin…” 1John3:9.
Be Not Decieved
Now, the eternity man who shall judge all flesh, shall not judge anyone by any other standard than his. He will for no reasons lower, or modify his standard. Matt5:18 “… till heaven and earth pass. One jot or one title shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled” IITimo2:19 “nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure… the Lord knoweth them that are his…” if a brother comes forward trying to carjole the people by introducing himself as a child of God though may not commit big or great sins as it were but commits little or secret sins. Though he may gain the confidence and honour of the people by appearing righteous but the eternity man stands aloof, watching and there is a witness in the spirit and amidst the holy angels that “the Lord knoweth them that are his”. Now the latter part says “… And let him that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity”. It now means that this scripture does not just refer to him that testify of him alone or profess him or speak about him or identifies with him but him that mentions his name. whichever way and for whatever reasons, let him that mentions his name have it in mind that God the righteous judge, the eternity man cannot be fooled by any one, he knoweth them that are his. So if you are to use his name for any reasons no matter how little the purpose of usage might appear, depart from iniquity.
Apostolic Revelation of when Mercy has Been Exhausted
Christ Jesus, the eternity man, the great judge, the restorer came forth with a restoration back to the future. A restoration of the kingdom life, restoration of the kingdom life, restoration of the principles of the kingdom. He came forth with the original marking scheme of heaven. The laws and the prophets have only provided us with the syllabus or curriculum of study. By the law and the prophets. We can see a bit dimension of the requirements of God but by the spirit (Christ Jesus). We know and are sure of what the marker of the examination requires of us. Those who functioned in the generation when the syllabus or curriculum was given shall be judged or scored according to the syllabus but it shall be terrible for anyone in this generation who do not meet up to the standard. For the examiner (the eternity man, christ) has released what he required of us (the marking scheme), little wonder he said in matt11:21-22 “woe unto thee, chorazin! Woe unto thee Bethsaida… it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of Judgement, than for you” vs23 “And thou Capernaum… it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of Judgement, than for thee”
Indespensable Decision to Escape
Pause! Don’t you think you have to pray to God at this juncture. You never can tell what will be the last moment of your life and sincerely the eternity man is not bothered about all what you have been doing all this while he is only bothered about what you have been doing till the very last moment of your life. Till you come to the point when time is up for you. Pray to the great judge now. Stop everything you are doing presently and speak to your creator. Tell him every of your secrets, every secret things you have done though he knows it already for all things in the dark are made manifest before him as in light. You cannot hide anything from him. You have to tell him now because if you wait till when he appears as the judge, death awaits you!
The Tragedy
We deceive ourselves a lot in this generation, always using something to cover up our mistakes and inconsistency, we make do of words like; it is well, God understands, am not committing sin or big sins, it is mercy, David commited greater sins, Samson did the same. Of course, this statements are good and very correct but does not change God’s standard. It does not change the fact that the Lord knoweth them that are His. Little wonder the great judge said in Matt7:13 “… wide is the gate and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction and many thereby which go in there at” “Not everyone that saith unto me Lord Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven… many will say Lord Lord have we not prophesied in thy name/ and in thy name have cast out devils and in thy name done many wonderful works?...then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity”. The eternity man can never be deceived with any form of sweet deceptive words or superficial tears on that day. For by fire and sword he would plead with all flesh, the day of reckoning is at hand!
Its Absurd but Accurate and Authentic
Christ came forth with the marking schemes in matt5; it will be good we study the whole chapter in our closet, he gave us a pre amble or a portrait or picture of what is required of us. In matt5:21, “ye have heard that thou shall not kill… but I say unto you that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgement and whosoever shall say unto his brother Raca… but whosoever shall say thou fool shall be in danger of hell fire” matt12:36 “… that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement”. Little wonder that disciple that the Lord love and that loved the lord spoke by the Spirit clarifying these issues in 1John3:15 “whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer…”. Is the spirit now complex? Nay for the law was initially given to Moses not to kill base on the lust and hard heart of the Israelites but from the beginning it was not so, Christ came forth with the understanding that the killing may be with or without a weapon!
He went further in vs27 “ye have heard… thou shall not commit adultery: but I say(the eternity man, marker, great judge)… whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in the heart”. Now adultery may be with or without the body. Again “ it hath been said, whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement. But I say unto you, that whosoever shall put away his wife…causeth her to commit adultery, (if marry another he has commited adultery,matt19:9) and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committed adultery”.
In the world, the only way to recognize a wise and strong warrior is both fighting and saving his life on the battle field by escaping but the eternity man came with his own accurate yard stick in Matt16:25 “ for whosoever will save his life shall lose it and whosoever will lose his life for my name sake shall find it” does this not sound absurd? This principles are indeed the road to the word and concept that this world have dreaded much and debated on; the word perfection. Perfection is a word that this generation have considered illogical and of course the pathway is at the same time illogical. “The foolishness of God is wiser than man”1corin1:25. In matt5:48 as a conclusion of all what the eternity man has been saying from the beginning of Matt5 “be ye therefore perfect even as your father which is in heaven is perfect”
