Short hiking guide
Hiking is a great way to spend your free time. It is safe, cheap, easy and good for health. You can hike almost everywhere. In this hub I want to share few advices about hiking.
1)If you hike in place you don't know always have map or GPS. Look at map before you go on trail. Try to estimate how many it your hike will take.
2)Take first-Aid kit with painkillers, bandage and hydrogen peroxide. They may safe your life.
3)If you plan to put up tent remember to obtain all necessary permissions. Remember that you cannot put up tent in all places. Usually there are special areas for that.
3)Check the local weather and always be prepared for worst one. Especially in mountains weather can change very fast.
4)It is always better to have to much clothes then too less. Always take a raincoat.
5)Buy comfortable trekking shoes. They are essential part of hiking gear. They should be above your ankle.
6)Always have a flash lite. Sometimes it is useful to have additional battery pack.
7)Remember that backpack shouldn’t weight more then 25 % of your body weight. Take only most important things.
This are just basics of hiking. Always remember that, just like in any other sport common sense is most important.
Recently appear new way of hiking. It is Nordic Walking. It is variety of hiking where you have two poles (just like skiers). When you move your hands your heart start to pumping more blood which is very good for all you body. Also this way of hiking involves much more muscles. You can give a chance to Nordic Walking just to satisfy your curiosity.
