I started at 5 years old in Judo, then studied Bushikan Ju Jitsu, and Wing Chun Kung Fu simultaneously. After many years, I turned my attention to Aikido and Kendo, and studied Chang Chuan and Hung Gar Kung Fu simultaneously. To keep from becoming too fixated in any one side of things, I have always found it adventageous to study a Japanese art alongside a Kung Fu style... I also kept up a long regimen of Qi Gong and Tai Chi practice. This is something I would recommend for any martial artist in order get to the root of true form and energy transfer.
