What's more surprising, The Los Angeles Lakers starting 1-4 or the New York Knicks starting 4-0?

Well, of course the NY Knicks starting 4-0.  But of course we got to give the Lakers time to gel together.  That just goes to prove that you can put all the big names together but it doesn't necessarily mean that they are going to win.

I'm sorry about all those Laker Fans that drink the 'Kool Aid', but even GM Mitch Kupchak knew the team might be in trouble when he talked with a reporter from ESPN in Los Angeles several weeks ago. I wrote a Hub about his comments, but it's a total 'toss up' I did not picture the Lakers doing this bad & Knicks doing this good either hahaha

I'd have to say the Lakers. With Mike Brown being fired after just 5 games, I think the most surprised were the owners or he wouldn't have been there in the first place. Also, decisions like that aren't made that quickly without the element of surprise unless there are things we aren't being told.

Given how old the Knicks are I'd say they are the bigger surprise.  I think the Lakers have had chemistry problems from the start with Nash and Kobe.  You have a pick and roll play maker and a one on one specialist with each needing the ball to do what they do best.  It will be interesting to see what happens with Brown gone and Nash coming back.

    Great question AD16.

It's more surprising that the Lakers hired D'Antoni. I heard somebody say on a sports talk show today that the Knicks are 20-6 since they fired D'Antoni. I don't see him as a good choice for the Lakers based upon his coaching style, but we'll see.
