I think it's a good decision for two reasons...

    1) They reduced his salary by something like 30% from what it would have been under the $100 Million contract (counting all incentives being met).

    2) The Eagles kept the quarterback that will best fit in Chip Kelly's system, so drafting a QB isn't an issue.

Yes, with Chip Kelly's offense, Vick should be a great fit. It needs a mobile quarterback. And, of course we all know what Vick can do  with the ball. Plus, if it doesn't work out, they can just release him next year.

That will be answered when the season comes around.  I hope it is a good move.  Go Eagles!

Chip Kelly bought himself some time to figure out what he really wants to do. And, Vick could have a great season. A lot of people picked the Eagles for a great season this past year. And, with Vick taking a pay cut and restructuring, there is no long-term risk.

The one thing that seems pretty certain is that Foles isn't the answer.

Possibly.  The NFL has been very unpredictable in who will start for each team.  Let's just sit back and wait.

At worst, Vick is an expendable, fairly cheap bust if this season does not work out for the Eagles.

I guess, but maybe they will learn how to win finally.

IF Foles gets chosen by  a team like the Raiders, Tennessee or the Chiefs he could surprise a lot of people. He is talented enough to be a secundo QB somewhere.

He showed flashes of being a very competent starting quarterback.  He also showed flashes of not deserving to be in the league.
