Now wouldnt the world be shocked if the AFC team to go to the Superbowl was Rex Ryans Jets.. . with a rookie QB no less.

Cant deny that they are in it......

well its definitely a possibility with the way they're playing.  the jets have the best rushing offense and has the best defense, so that puts mark sanchez in a great position to where all he has to really do is not lose the game for them to win.

I don't think they stand much of a chance against SD.  It would be nice, but I can't see it happening.

It is the NFL and in the NFL . . .one thing is for sure. . .
Expect the unexpected. . . no one even gave them a thought they would go this far. . .stranger things have happened. . and this team as not only a great defense .. a great coach. . they got something called "heart"

well she is right though guys.  just look at the baltimore ravens back when they won their superbowl a few years ago.  they had the best defense in the nfl, like the jets have now.  plus, they had a great running attack, with an average qb.  which is not that dissimilar to what the jets have with a rookie qb.  sanchez doesn't have to win a game for the jets; he just has to make sure he doesn't make mistakes.  unlike manning, favre, and romo whom all had to come up with plays to help their teams win.  sanchez doesn't have to do that since he has the league's best defense and running attack to rely on.

How about that Cards/Packers game.. WOW.. what an ending!

Hey Wavegirl22, you might know this. What the hell is that logo on the 50 yard line of New Englands field? not the Pats logo in the middle but near either sideline. Looks like a pair of measuring calipers with lightning on the ends of it. Any idea what those are.  I was having a debate about it today.  Thought maybe it was a logo of a college or baseball team that shares the field but I don't think they do that ,at that field. Any idea?

but I imagine you are talking about that yellow and white thing that is kinda opposite the playoff thing as in the pic. .. hmmm good question . .

It's the stadium logo. There is a light tower and bridge at the East entrance to the stadium. Once everybody is drunk, they need a landmark to find their cars.

oh well they lost anyway ,and jets gotta good shot IMO. I'm still likin' the top two nfc teams though.

  9. mel22 profile image61
    mel22posted 13 years ago

Probably the tower they used to spy on other teams play calling and the bridge symbolizes :get the hell outta dodge  b4 they find out.. too late they're dynasty's over now HAHA. and the alien would be their coach in that crazy sweater he always wears. hope he  isn't superstitious and washes it between games. if he was then after tonight would be a good time!

I'd be more than happy to see one of the Ryans get to Miami, but I didn't see anything yesterday to make me think the Jets are more than what I thought they were Friday.

I would bet that if the Jets somehow beat the Colts along the way then the Colts coaches and management will be wishing they had played those last 2 games instead of letting the Jets get in by rolling over and playing dead.

I have the Jets beating the Colts in my office playoff pool. They better not let me down like the Eagles or the Green Bay Packers or the New England Patriots. I should've never scratched my original pick of Ravens over Patriots. Such a disappointing weekend.

Ron Montgomeryposted 13 years agoin reply to this

It could also be a blowout.  The Colts can win this one in the first quarter, the Jets can not.  I think Peyton will try to break out some big plays early.  Revis was not able to cover Wayne when they met earlier; Manning just over-threw a couple.  If he's back to himself this game, it will be over early.

  17. kingis profile image71

The Jets could very well sneak into the Super Bowl. This Jets team kind of reminds you of the Super Bowl XXXV Champion Baltimore Ravens.  Great defense, ball controlling ground game, and having the QB run a mistake free game.  We will certainly find out on Sunday.
