What is Going On with Kyrie Irving

So I have to say something about Kyrie Irving. It is easy to talk about flat-earth theories and his other quirky thoughts and comments. The dude is straight weird…not Metta World Peace weird…but weird. His weirdness brings some color to the NBA.
As vaccination issues have brought up the possibility of his trade, what I am puzzled about is why people put so much value on him as a basketball player. I am not disputing his talent. He leads the league in getting “oohs” and “ahs” from fans. I am disputing his ability to be a winner. Ironically, Kyrie falls into the same category of players like Ben Simmons who is big on undisputable talent but short on accomplishments.
I know…I know…I know! Kyrie hit that dagger in Game 7 of the Finals. It was the shot we weren’t sure Lebron could make back then. The King probably needed him to take that shot. Since he helped Lebron dethrone the Warriors in 2016, he has not been the type of presence you see on a championship team.
I am not convinced he is the type of player who raises the tide for all the players on the court with him. He is not able to enhance the play of others like a Lebron or Steph. I am not even sure he cares about winning.
According to Basketball-Reference, here are comparable players (0 championships):
    Fat Lever
    DeMar DeRozan
    Kemba Walker
When it comes to trading Kyrie or not, I say trade him. Send him somewhere he can show off his fancy ball skills in exchange for players how are about winning.

It amazes me that people can even watch basketball, let alone take an interest in the political, social, and personal machinations of the players. I mean, playing it and then watching it is one thing, but just watching it? Reminds me of going to church at white-majority churches, just a bunch of rinse and repeat with the occasional upset or uproar.

Nonetheless, knowing near-nothing about this topic, I'd say that trading your pieces (players) in a game is normally what we like to call a, "suicide strategy," though that is mostly just long-term strategy games. It is better to nurse your pieces to full-strength, play to their boons, rather than seeing them as expendable. Save the suicide strategy for a dire moment, because you never know when that piece will come in handy later.

I enjoy basketball and hockey yet since
Covid the games are far less exciting. There is alot of basketball player leaving their careers because of forced vaccination. I do find basketball players seem more all together and smarter than hockey players.

Kyrie Irving Doesn’t Know if the Earth Is Round or Flat. He Does Want to Discuss It.
When his career is so busy, he probably doesn't get out much.
