Trying to watch one of the games with the constant buzz of these horns is incredibly irritating, anyone agree? In the games I have watched so far this sound never stops.

Yeah they are awful.... what did you make of the English drums though? Are drums any better? Yeah of course they are better, but they can still get pretty irritating too!

It didn't appear the English drums were constant. I mean, I can see these "instruments" being employed when something happens, you know like a goal but this type of use is ridiculous.

One single and constant note for 90+ minutes straight does not constitute music. Good, bad or otherwise

Kinda liked the sound of the horns...

It seemed like they hit that (im)perfect note that makes you feel tense with anticipation...

    Really makes the atmosphere!

This is shaping up to be the "best fun" World Cup in a long while.

It is a little annoying but actually I seem to be able to block it out. It doesn't really bother me that much. It would seem really quiet without them I think, but maybe there would be a better atmosphere.

They're already talking about banning them, which I think is kinda sad, coz it's not like you're missing anything, you can still hear the commentary and see the football.

I would not mind if they only blew them every 5 minutes but for a full 90 minutes!  You cant even hear singing because of them!

Ergh yeah, I love the crowd noise of football crowds, but that annoying horn sound is so damn annoying.

Drums have a rhythm at least, and most clubs have drummers!

The horns are jsut this tuneless noise that never stops.

The national instrument is a fog horn. What a classless nation. The World Cup should never have been given to them anyway.
