The weakest minds are the most religious?
i saw this on a t-shirt a couple of months ago and I told the guy wearing it, he hit it right on the nose. do you agree that it's true?
I probably would have put "The most religious minds are closed the tightest." or something to that extent, but I would have a hard time arguing against the shirt.
This is a total offending OPINION. How can you agree with this OPINION, when you are always calling for facts? Albert Einstein even admitted there must be a God.
And Steven Hawkings said that everything could have happened without one,,, a conclution that science moves closer to every day. Albert might have thought differently today.
Borsia, I don't think so. Einstein was his own man, not a "crowd follower." And Hawking is lame enough to say that gravity could've created the universe. Duh! Gravity was created, just like the space and time which house it.
Quote from Albert; . . I came—though the child of entirely irreligious (Jewish) parents—to a deep religiousness, which, however, reached an abrupt end at the age of twelve. Through the reading of popular scientific books I soon reached the conviction
Not at all.
I've seen some pretty weak-minded atheists and some genius atheists. I've seen some weak-minded believers and genius believers.
Galileo and Sir Isaac Newton were both very religious, but they were no slouches when it came to science, logic and observation. For instance, Newton created his own biblical timeline, similar to that of Archbishop Ussher. Back then, it was an important part of scholarship, especially for the deeply religious.
Are you looking for something to stroke your confirmation bias? I'm afraid I can't help with that.
In my own family, all of my brothers are very spiritual. None of them are very religious in the traditional sense of dogma swallowing, church going. But they each have genius IQs. We each believe in God. My youngest brother's IQ is well over 200, comparable to Einstein and Goethe. My next brother has IQ of 165 and goes to Catholic Church every Sunday with his Catholic wife. He's had some of the most profound spiritual experiences, which prove his spiritual nature as superior to the physical. And my oldest brother, just a couple of years younger than me, has an IQ of 185. He has become more religious, but not denominational.
I am perhaps the most religious in my family, but I've studied many religions and found Truths in each of them. Alas, I only have a 139 IQ (only borderline genius, according to some), but I'm no slouch. I've had 2 successful careers. As an artist, I've done backgrounds for a Hollywood film for 2-time Academy Award winning designer, Saul Bass. As a software engineer, I graduated with a bachelors degree, summa cum laude. I've also created my own 3D astronomy software, "Stars in the NeighborHood" (available online). But I'm also an award-winning essayist (first place for "Outsiderness in the Scientific Community", Krupnick Award, 1994, Los Angeles). And I'm a published author of science fiction, ("Touch the Stars: Emergence," co-authored with John Dalmas).
Weak mind? That is so funny.
one should be religious but to be most religious is another thing.
There is a saying that a person himself is the master of his own destiny. That means when people don't have believe in themselves to go ahead they need god or religion to help them.
the term "weak mind" has nothing to do with intelligence, absolutely nothing. i don't care what hawkings has to say, in so many cases he's a babbling fool. i'm amazed at how many people think that being smart means you aren't weak, amazed. JThomp42, take a downer bud, you just proved how weak your mind is, it was on a T-shirt , i didn't say it was a fact , it's called an opinion and the last time i checked, i was allowed to voice my opinion.
Galileo, Newton, c.s. Lewis, Tolkien, Adams... yes, they and so many like them were so "Weak" minded.
What would make you think it was accurate?

C.V.Rajanposted said on the forum thread, "What is the most important verse in the bible?", "The kingdom of God is within you."That's one of my favorites, as is the one that we can do the miracles Jesus did and even greater ones. Also, I like the one where Jesus reminds his...

I have a question for the Atheist, if there is Scientific Proof that God created the whole universe.Would you believe in the almighty creator? I have proof that I would like you to see and then answer the question; I created a Hub page on the proof of our creator and then make up your own mind....

Most atheists & agnostics build up their own standards of ethics & morality. If they do something good they do it for the sake of the responsibility they feel towards humanity. On the contrary, theists usually develop a personality which expects rewards in return of their good deeds,...

Well, we have witnessed how the scientific community has debunked the dogma of evolution. It has been established that human beings didn't evolve, but appeared on this planet fully intact and developed. So, we have been created by something. It's a miracle that a sequence of atoms can create a...

Whether your view is religious or scientific. And if you think the Universe is a steady state(as in, has no beginning or end),then try to explain that instead. Thank you.
