What is the best diamond cut for a solitaire or pendant?
Do you have a favorite diamond cut for diamonds? What is it?
If the diamond is an engagement ring, it should probably be in a shape that is considered classic, that won't get tiresome to look at. Probably the classic round cut, marquis, emerald (squared off shape) would be preferable to a butterfly or heart shaped cut which would lose its novelty after awhile.
The bottom line is preference. My favorite is marquis, personally. I have a small round cut diamond which glitters beautifully, and since it was given from the heart, I am more than satisfied with it.
The cut is very subjective decision and will depend on the carat size of the diamond. If the size is more than 1 carat, than brilliant cut will be ideal else one can go for pear or trillion cut
The quality of cut diamond is extremely important to the natural beauty, appearance and natural beauty that the diamond exhibits and, therefore, its final value. For example, if a diamond is cut too deep or too shallow, then the internal light refraction inside the diamond will not be optimal which will negatively affect the sparkle of the diamond.
