Pixie short hair cuts, who do they work for?
I have fought the urge to get a pixie short cut for years but I feel they only good on women that are very slender and with elongated faces. Thoughts?
I've always thought that pixie haircuts look good on petite women with thin faces. I did some looking on the internet and came up with this article from about.com it tells you how to best choose a haircut for your face shape. It has a lot of great pictures and explains in detail what haircut works best for a particular face shape, as well as which haircuts to avoid. http://beauty.about.com/od/hairbasics/a/flattering.htm
I think if the gal has a very feminine face with small features, it looks great. But if the person doesn't have those qualities, it can make them look kind of masculine.
Small diamond, heart, square, or thin faces but I don't think it would work well on long faces. I think the cut of the shape, a defined jawline is the key. I always think about Mia Farrow when she was in Rosemary's Baby when I think of that cut, or Twiggy.
