Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos vs Samsung Galaxy s3
Android
SIM:
Samsung Grand Duos I9082:
The Samsung Grand Duos I9082 as the name suggests itself is a dual SIM GSM smartphone which supports all the usual bandwidths ( 3G, HSDPA, etc). There exists a single SIM version also, but isn't released in all countries.
That means it supports two SIM cards that can run simultaneously. so long as both are GSM SIM's.
The advantage of this is if you happen to have a separate business phone number and a personal phone number that you use. You need not put a data plan ( for using the internet on your phone) on both the SIM's, rather you can use the data plan of just one SIM, and all your apps that need a net connection will work perfectly well.
When making a call or sending a text message, the phone lets you select which SIM you would to use for doing so, and it does not do this by using an annoying pop up, but rather has two buttons SIM 1 and SIM 2 on both the messaging and phone dialer app.
Samsung Galaxy s3:
The Samsung Galaxy s3 is a single SIM GSM smartphone which supports all the usual bandwidths ( 3G, HSDPA, etc)

Shape: Both the phones (the Grand and s3) are in the shape of a bar. But the Galaxy s3 looks and feels sleeker as compared to the Galaxy Grand.
Screen: The Samsung Grand comes with a nice big screen that is 5 inches whereas the Samsung Galaxy s3 has a 4.8 inches. It may not seem as a huge difference but it does.
Watching movies and surfing the on these phones is simply an amazing experience.
Resolution: The Samsung Galaxy Grand has a WVGA, 480 x 800 Pixels as compared to the Galaxy s3's HD, 720 x 1280 Pixels. Both possess 16M colors though.
Even though the resolution of the Grand maybe low, trust me from personal use and experience, you will never realise that it's not a HD phone. The display and brightness is just amazing. There is absolutely no pixelation and images are crisp. The s3 being a full HD display, I don't think I need to say anything...
Dimensions: The Galaxy Grand comes with the dimensions of 76.8x143.5x9.6 mm where as the Galaxy s3 has the dimensions of 70.6x136.6x8.6 mm.
As you can see, the Galaxy Grand is longer, broader and slightly thicker as compared to the Galaxy s3. The increase in length and breadth is obvious cause of the increase in screen size.
So as you can see the Grand is quite a bit larger than the s3 overall.
Weight: The Galaxy Grand is a good 30 or so grams heavier than the s3 at 161 g vs 133 g. It doesn't really feel that heavy though.

Primary Camera: Both (the Grand and s3) possess 8MP back cameras also known as the primary camera. Amazing clarity and crisp images on both phones. Picture quality is practically the same with both phones and you can't make out any differences really.
Flash: Both the phones have a bright LED flash which helps in taking pictures in the night and gives an amazing clarity to your night images.
Video Recording: This is where things get interesting with the Galaxy Grand having a video recording resolution of 1920 x 1080, 30 fps as compared to the 1280 x 720, 30 fps of the Galaxy s3.
As you can see the Grand out beats the s3 easily with full HD video recording and it also has a digital zoom of 4x.
Secondary Camera: The Galaxy Grand comes with a 2 MP front camera (secondary camera) for video chatting and Skype calls, which is amazingly clear.. Also makes for a good mirror :P
The Galaxy s3 on the other hand has a 1.9 MP camera, which is also good..
Sensors:
Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos: Has the Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Compass and the Gyro Sensor.
Samsung Galaxy s3: Accelerometer, Gyro Sensor, RGB Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Barometer and Compass
Connectivity:
WiFi: Both (the Grand and s3) have the usual high speed WiFi connection bands of 802.11 b/g/n, along with the WiFi tethering feature where in the user can use his/her Galaxy s3 or Grand as a WiFi modem so other people can access their net from their phones.
Bluetooth: Both phones support the latest high speed Bluetooth version 4 enabling faster transfer of files via Bluetooth.

A comparison between two amazing smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 and the Samsung Galaxy s3. These smartphones have a very little price difference but vary in a couple of features they posses.
Memory, Storage And Processor:
RAM: Both the phones (the Grand and s3) come along with a 1 GB of RAM that all a smartphone really requires. You can be guaranteed of absolutely no lagging in any of the apps or functioning of either phone.
Internal Storage: Quite a big difference between the two phones when it comes to the internal storage part, with the Galaxy Grand having an internal storage of 8 GB and the Galaxy s3 with double of that at 16 GB!
8 GB may seem like hardly anything when compared to the 16 GB of the s3, but trust me and I'm sure all you previous Android users know that 8 GB is more than enough to install as many apps as you may want and even store your music, files, videos and images.
External Storage: Both phones (the Grand and s3) can increase their storage by up to 64 GB using a micro SD card which is a 50% increase from the previous phones released by Samsung which could be extended to 32 GB. Though the s3 having an Internal storage of 16 GB, I'm pretty sure you won't be needing any external storage.
With the screen size of the Grand, crisp clear images and huge external storage, you can now carry along and watch your movies where ever you may be.
Processor: The Galaxy Grand comes with a 1.2 Ghz Dual Core Processor, which trust me is extremely fast and until late was used only in tablets and has now moved into the Smartphone sector. You can be assured that along with the 1 GB of RAM, there's gonna be no loag and you can watch movies, browse, use your apps and multitask easily.
The Galaxy s3 comes with a whooping 1.4 GHz Quad Core Processor that can a literally be used for computing, taking Smartphones to a whole new level..

Which Of The Two Smartphones Would You Prefer?
Battery:
Both phones (the Grand and s3) come with a 2100 mAH battery, which again up till now was used to power tablets, which have much larger screens.
So you can relax and be assured that one full charge should last you for well over a day and more...
Additional Features:
Android Version: Both phones (the Grand and s3) come with Android Jelly Bean (4.1.2), the latest version of Android.
They are among the only 3 phones (The Note 2 being the 3rd) which supports multi-window running of apps, that is you can run two apps simultaneously by splitting your screen in half, that is running the apps side by side on the screen. You can adjust how much space each app can use.
Videos: You can play your videos on a mini screen or window, that is you can watch your video whilst your app or say your browser is a loading a webpage at the back. The Grand can play full HD videos where as the s3 can play just HD videos.
SAR Value: The Galaxy Grand has a SAR value of 0.316 W/Kg and the s3 has a value of 0.55 W/Kg. SAR is the value given for radiation emissions.
NFC: The Galaxy s3 has NFC and can be used with a feature called S Beam. You can read more about NFC here.
