How to Change Folder Icon in Windows?
All the folders in Windows XP are the same. They are the yellow color. Do you like it? Or do you wish to change the folder icon? Folder icon can be changed easily. This hubpage describes the process of changing folder icon in Windows XP.
Steps to change folder icon
The steps to change folder icon is presented below:
Step 1:
Right-click the folder and choose Properties which you want to change the icon. For example, I want to change the folder icon of "MyFolder". So, I right-click on it and select Properties. Now, MyFolder properties window will be opened.
Step 2:
From the mult-tabbed properties dialog box, select Customize tab.
Step 3:
Find Change Icon button and click on it.
Step 4:
Select an icon and click OK. Alternately, you can click on Browse button and may select other type of icons. You can find .ICO and .EXE files on your system for more icons. Moreover, you can download many icons freely form the Internet.
Step 5:
Press OK button to close the dialog box and to change the folder icon.
That's all to change any folder icon in Windows XP.
Note: Sometimes, the icons changed automatically, if your folder is not opened. But if your folder is opened during this process, after finishing the process you must have to close your folder and reopen your folder to change the effects which you have done.
