Entertain Your Friends

Believe it or not, some people are simply using Facebook to keep in touch with friends and relatives. Imagine that! Then there are the rest of us... we are trying to entertain everyone on our friend list. For some reason, it has become a mission in life to keep people entertained. Forget about reading what Aunt Gertrude watched on TV last night. The goal is to make Aunt Gertrude laugh hysterically at a ridiculous photo.

For those of you that want to keep your Facebook followers entertained, this hub is for you. Posting boring family photos is not enough for someone like yourself. No, you are going above and beyond to treat folks to some fun-filled laughter on your Facebook timeline. If you've run out of funny ideas for Facebook photos, I am here to help you. Check out some of these suggestions and everyone on your friend list will love you.

Pose with Cardboard Cutouts

Cardboard cutouts are everywhere! Stores constantly have cardboard cutouts standing all over the place. Sometimes those cutouts are for sale; sometimes they are merely for display. It really does not matter why they are there. They can be hilarious to pose beside.

I've posed with a number of cardboard cutouts at stores. Some of my favorites are:

  • Willie from Duck Dynasty
  • Flo the Progressive Girl
  • Miley Cyrus (when she was Hannah Montana)
  • Freddy Krueger
  • Rob Pattinson

It is just good, clean fun to pose with a cardboard version of a celebrity. If the opportunity should arise while you are out somewhere, make sure to take it!

Make Ridiculous Faces

If you don't mind totally humiliating yourself, why not sneer at the camera, or make a goofy face? It will be funny, but just remember, it will be on the internet forever. Even if you decide to delete the photo to hide the evidence, one of your friends will probably save it and use it against you forever. Have fun with that!

Put Stuff on Your Head

Never ever underestimate the hilarity of putting random items on your head. Sure, people will tell you that is an old gag, but oh well, it still works. That is why people put lampshades on their heads at parties; of course, usually alcohol is involved, but my point is, it is still funny.

There are plenty of fun items you can place on your head to create a funny Facebook photo. You can use different types of hats. You can put household items on your head, such as an empty flower pot (hello, Devo look!). Does your cat like to rest on your head? Get out the camera! Would you like to put a blanket over your head and run around like that? Get a photo of it.

Putting stuff on your head is just simply funny. Anything slightly out of place like that works, but for some reason, balancing something on your head just makes it better.

Random Action Shots

Posing in strange random action shots is certainly a great way to liven up your photo collection. Do you know martial arts? Can you at least pretend to know martial arts? Awesome! Fake your way through a great photo.

You can also do other fun activities for the camera. For instance, you can entertain your Facebook friends with photos of you jumping on a motel bed. As a matter of fact, that is a tradition for every motel I stay at now. A live action shot of jumping on a bed is entertaining. How about riding a bike while in a store or testing at that hula hoop before you buy it? The possibilities are limitless!

Inanimate Objects

Sometimes inanimate objects can be hilarious. What is even better is you don't even have to get in the photo if you prefer to be anonymous. You can put a fake mouse on a computer mouse! You can take all your little sister's stuffed animals and stage an epic battle with plastic knives. You may even simply find a hilarious product you never knew existed that you must show the world.

Inanimate objects are also great to use for photos because they do not move. No need to worry about the subject of the photo squirming out the picture or complaining about being embarrassed. Inanimate objects are probably the easiest shots to get for comedic purposes.

If you want to step up your fun with inanimate objects, there is no reason why you should not pose in the photo to show how ridiculous the object looks. Once again, inanimate objects do not argue with you when you want to take their photos. They also don't mind posing with you, which makes your photo session even easier.

Photoshop Your Photos

Maybe you have a dream of landing on the moon or swimming miles under water, but you've never managed to achieve these dreams. Well, hey, most of us won't do these things either. It is cool. Photoshop yourself into photos of the moon or the ocean. Who cares?

So you say you don't have Photoshop? There are plenty of other options, some of them are free for altering photos. How about you try PicMonkey? You can add crazy colors, shapes, graphics, backgrounds, funny phrases, or just about anything to your favorite photos. You can opt for something totally hilarious to entertain your friends.

Ruin Your Pet's Day

You know who you can force to pose for funny photos? Your pets! Sure, they may not want to pose for any photos, but they don't have much choice now, do they? After all, you feed them and let them live with you rent-free. It is time they pay up now.

Just about any pet can pose in a hilarious way. Maybe you have a fish that likes to jump out the tank. Perhaps your cat sleeps while dangling from the bedroom curtains. You might even have a hamster that likes to wear Halloween costumes. Whatever the case may be, that is going to be really funny for someone else to see.

Peculiar Scenes

Have you ever seen the Grinch and Santa Claus riding on the back of a motorcycle together? Well, I have! The only problem was, I did not have a camera with me. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Walking around finding funny scenes is not that difficult. You can see ridiculous signs, people, and activities everywhere you go. When you go on vacation in a populated loction, make sure to take your camera. That is typically where the real magic happens. People watching at boardwalks, amusement parks, and malls is always an adventure.

Ummm.... What?

Be Creative

Your photos can be as hysterically funny as you'd like them to be. Don't let anyone stop you from being a super-creative comical genius on Facebook. Of course, please remember some people don't appreciate a really embarrassing photo going on Facebook if they are the main stars of it. Make sure to ask your friend first if he or she is doing some humiliating. Otherwise, post away! Don't deprive the world of totally ridiculous photos.
