   Are you a Windows or Apple person?
   
   I have always been a Windows person. Growing up, I have always had Windows products. I have since become more accepting of Apple. When it comes to mobile devices I believe Apple takes the cake, when it competes with both Windows and Android.    Although I've used both, at home, I've always been a Windows girl. I've just never been a big fan of Apple products.

   I'm a Windows person now, but as a kid in the 80s everyone had Apple computers. The reason I prefer Windows OS is because it's intuitive, makes sense, and is easy to navigate quickly. I've used Macs at school and they seem more haphazard, un-intuitive, and difficult to navigate. Nobody really knows why Mac OS chooses to do the things they do, whereas with Windows it's all pretty obvious: it's done for intuitive ease of use. I think of Macs as more of an artsy-type computer, or people who are seriously into computer tech. Windows is more for the average person, and honestly these days, I'm not sure Macs are better with the graphic design options still. That used to be the case, however.

      Thanks for your answer. I think that apple users feel like apple is more intuitive. I think it really comes down to what you're comfortable with.. Lucky for me, I use both a MacBook and Windows Desktop computer on a regular basis.

      Thanks for your answer. They Computers are more expensive, I'll give you that, but their mobile devices, such as iphone and ipad are very comparable to the other leaders in the industry.

      I've been using Fedora at home and in work. I also have about 35 Fedora virtual servers plus a few Oracle Linux VMs. I'll probably start deploying more Oracle as I replace the older Fedora VMs. I have a few RHEL machines and about 10 Solaris servers.

   For my entire life I had been a Windows person myself. Having served in the United States Marine Corps, every communications device from Cisco Routers to Cisco Switches WIndows has been the dominating Operating System in my professional and personal career.
   
   In the recent years, I was brought onboard by a rather successful corporation and one of the amenities that the company had provided to conduct work on its behalf was a MacBook Pro on the first day of employment.
   
   It was foreign to me and I probably would have never bought one myself if it wasn't for this company that I was now employed with. From the perspective of a Senior Technical Engineer, there's no going back. My preferred desktop/laptop Operating System is now OS X as opposed to Windows.
   
   Everything is just easier to work with and less of the unnecessary struggle we all face (This includes the diehard Windows Users). Applications fluidly work with one another and my favorite part is the Terminal. For those of you who are unaware of what Terminal... it is Apple's version of Window's Command Prompt (GNU Linux Based Command Line Interface). You can drag and drop text and files to and from the Terminal which makes conducting business efficient and consequently, effective.
   
   To my understanding, Windows is a Microsoft Operating System primarily used on Desktops and Laptops. In this sense, Microsoft is to Windows as Apple is to OS X. Having said this, I wanted to touch tangent on IOS (Apple's Mobile Operating Systems found on the IPhone up to IPhone 6s. In this particular sect of Operating System Platforms, its major competitor is the Android Operating System found on a dynamic range of devices manufactured by numerous different companies, whereas, IPhones are strictly products of Apple.
   
   This brings me to the part where I prefer another system over Apple's. I used to own an IPhone 6 because of its responsiveness and compatibility any of my other Apple Products.
   
   I know that the title of this forum only asks about Windows or Apple but I am compelled to write my first piece on why I choose Android over IOS.
