Why keep it here non-indexed when I can move it over to my own blog and tinker with it over there?  i know I wont benefit from the SEO here but hey this should clean up my profile and instead of just deleting I am trying to resurrect the sleepers.

They won't harm your HP account over there either.

So are we really being punished by Panda for the SEO tricks we were being taught in the challenge blogs.  All that backlinking and feeds.

How do sleeper hubs effect our HP account? I've been wondering about this. And I've also been thinking about moving some of them elsewhere too.

Yeah I don't see the point in keeping them here. If they're de-indexed that means they've lost all that beautiful aging time anyway.

I've migrated one to Blogger already. More to follow.

This thread got me inspired enough to go do another one. With the second hub, I'm breaking it down into three separate blog posts. Did first one. Probably do the other two at the rate of one a day.

I had 5 sleeper hubs which were all HP tutorials and I tweaked them a bit and they were revived. I saw one snooze yesterday but I don't intend to do anything about that since it's another HP special. If it just sits there idling without any traffic I will delete it.

I would suggest changing titles and updating the hubs before removing them.

In my particular case, I'd already thrown the update stick at them a half-dozen times before Captain Z came along... HP wasn't telling me anything that in my heart I didn't already know. As for the transferring to the blog, yep, I do mangle them yet one more time before moving them. big_smile

btw, my traffic has gone up a little since I told Google to de-index them. Coincidence? Who knows?

When the "sleepy Z's" appeared last week something like 25 out of my 80+ Hubs were idle, which didn't make me happy. I've spent the last couple of days tweaking the majority of them and now I'm down to 3 or 4, most of which don't lend themselves to much updating anyway. One of them was published last year about the sudden death of a rock singer... not much I can do to update that one, the guy is still dead.

Maybe you can edit the hub to make it about the anniversary of his death. After that, you wouldn't need to do much updating each year.

A good idea for him. Very creative.
