What causes Internet Explorer not to work?
I got a laptop in October 2009 and during the past few days I have been using it and getting the message that Internet Explorer is not working. it could be in the middle of writing an email or playing a game or whatever. The computer is at a standstill. I have chosen Bing as the main browser as I have always had problems with IE even on my desktop. What could cause such a problem?
Internet Explorer also has a huge hole in their system. It's easy for viruses and other things to get to it. You might want to switch to safari or firefox.
I have always had problems with IE on my desktop and laptop as well. Whenever I get a computer virus, it always originates from my IE browser. I do not use IE unless absolutely necessary. Stick to Firefox and disable IE if you have to.
Yes, what Favors... said. Furthermore, make Firefox your DEFAULT browser. And there are some nice security and SEO options for Firefox. (NoScript and SEO4FireFox.)
Unfortunately, you have to keep IE as some doofus webmasters do things they think are "kewl", but non-standard, that work only in IE. So, first ask yourself, do I want to take the security risk to go to that doofus' site? Kontera is one of those. If so, close IE after going to that site, and close all the cookies and histories. Then go back to Firefox for further browsing or activity.

Is Google Chrome, or Firefox, better than Internet Explorer?I'm wondering if I'm going to run into problems with these. Has anyone compared these search engines? Which is the best one to use with Windows 7 ?

Just noticed that the facebook like button is not showing in Firefox, although it shows up fine in Chrome when I looked.

For anyone who upgraded to Windows 8.1, Internet Explorer 11 came with it and you may have noticed that you can enter links in your hubs through this browser. It still works in Firefox 25, but just a heads up!
