Write quality hubs with useful content. Keep the good interesting hubs coming. There will generate their own traffic.
I think this is purely depended on your site content. Healthy traffic is that what comes, not what we get. Repeat visitors are very important for a websites success and to make the visitors comeback, the site needs to have information that is interesting, not duplicate, fresh and presented to them properly. We may get traffic in different ways and this is a continuous process and needs too much of effort. But if the visitors like the site and keep coming back, the word spreads and thats the free traffic we get.
Also you can join other sites and submit links to your hubs to gain traffic that way, if you have good hubs and good add words you will soon be getting regular traffic.
Having proper keyword selection, use social bookmarking sites to promote your site and do more quality blogs and hubs.
Doing good in SEO and having quality, unique yet fresh blogs and hubs.
Use words in your website that people are searching for at the search engines. Use Google's free keyword tool.
Study the guidelines provided by the search engine that you are submitting your site to.
Get involved in the internet conversation, forums, etc. Share your expert advice and leave a link to your site for further reading.
Write lots of unique content. Aim for 100 or 200 pages.
