Don't email or follow anyone you don't want to email you. If you don't recognize them don't open and put on your spam list. If you trust opening it there is probably a place you can email them to stop sending you email. This usually works.
If you are talking about hubpages when you go to create or edit an article go down to the comment section and click edit. From there check "Only signed-in users may post comments" and that should drastically reduce your comment spam. You can also check "Comments must be approved before they appear" if you want to administrate them yourself.
