What material possession could you live without?

I myself can barely answer this question!

    My wife!

    Does that qualify?

OK then my TV, nothing's worth watching on TV these days anyway.

Most of them. I think that families were closer when there wasn't all this technology in the way.

Pretty much all of them...except we do have brutal winters here, so minimal warm material possessions are required. That said, in order to MAKE a living, I'd better keep a hold of my computer...everything else can go away. My books come from the library, and that's usually what I'm doing when I'm not working or spending time with my husband and kids.

Well, I don't have a car and I survive.  Don't own any diamonds nor gold.

We can live without most things, it seems, but we need clothing in the north and shelter is nice.  And I don't want to give up toilet paper.  Best modern invention there is.  Don't know how they lived without it.  And... on that subject, I don't want to give up my toilet nor indoor plumbing.

dablufox, I love that answer. Just don't tell my wife I said that. I love a good laugh and I got a good one out of that. Thank You. But as to the question, don't think that your going to take my computer away. It's mine and you can't have it. Mine, mine, mine.

My George Forman Grill!! JK but honestly speaking, in today's world computer can do just about everything so I don't think I would be able to survive without it. I know many people like to say that we can live without any material possessions which is true if we wanted to live in the stone age. But in today's connected world, we gotta have a computer. I do all my work and school related assignments on the computer. I draw on the computer with a WACOM tablet. I read books on my computer (Kindle app) and I stay connected to friends and family via social media. Let's be practical here.
