It all depends on friends and followers. I only have a Twitter. I don't use Facebook. I only have 40 some followers on Twitter but I get decent traffic. It helps to have fans on Hubpages as well smile

Facebook wins hands down out of those two.  Myspace used to bring me traffic.  I never get myspace traffic anymore though.

Start a facebook group.  Hell, I started an "Article and blog sharing group," you can join that one if you want to.  I'm actually a member of so many damn facebook groups that I couldn't name them all to you if I tried.

100% referring sites traffic. I now have 2964 ever total views for my 3 articles. 1st article: 62 30 days views and 1660 ever total; 2nd article: 515 30 days views and 1024 ever total; 3rd article: 280 30 days views and 280 ever total. 857 30 days views and 2964 ever total for all 3 articles as of May 31, 2011 A.D. at 10:30pm. my 1st article got 0 traffic for 2 months before the referring sites found it on August 2010 A.D. My 1st article have exploded with panda. No complaints from me. Let us give a shout out for Google Panda. Laughing out loud because it have skyrocketed my views for all 3 articles. The numbers are proof with all 3 of my articles. Patience is a must with 100% referring sites because it is a slow moving time process but it does bring the abundance of traffic to your articles for you without you having to do anything else but to be patient and wait for the traffic to come from around the world. Easy traffic for no effort on your part except to write only excellent articles of which I have done. 1st article: 62 hub score, 2nd article: 71 hub score, 3rd article: 76 hub score. Just the facts as of May 31, 2011 A.D. at 10:43pm. I have 23 visits and 41 page views on my 1st article.

Twitter apparently helps my articles the most.  I have articles that I have put on both, but when I traced the traffic, only Twitter resulted in any traffic.

I have an article on another site that got over 1000 views in one day after I put it on Twitter.

I'm sure that I could work Facebook a bit harder, and maybe produce similar results.  For now, I tend to focus more attention on Twitter, but I know it works.

I have no luck using other sites to gather traffic. One website just suspended me permanently for posting a couple links in the answers. I was cheesed I have been with the website since I was twelve I am not doing that again... Another site questioned the friends I was adding because I didn't know them. How did it possibly know that?? Oh well.

One of the things that I have tried to emphisize in one of my hubs is saying things that grab a person's attention. Although some people may have considered my hyb funny, I sincerely believe that if you destract a reader with obvious mistakes or misleading statements you will loose traffic. Sounding sure of your knowledge and adding facts when necessary will bring you traffic along with eyecatching photos and lead is to your topics.
