Has anyone used Facebook groups successfully to engage people and promote their writings?
I do a lot of writing on a particular genre and have recently created a Facebook group around that genre for friends with similar interests - hope it serves as a way for all of us to do share information and cross promote in the process. Anyone else have experiences with this or tips on it?
I have. Though I don't think Hub pages is appreciative of the views.
I have posted links to some of my hubs on Facebook. I got a few views that way but not enough. I would suggest that you don't over promote to make sure you aren't spamming your group members
I recently started up a fanpage for my online freelance writing. It's filled mostly with hubs. It's done pretty well as far as bringing in extra traffic, even with just 6 fans.

A few years back when I did Examiner.com, the writers were always talking about where is the best places to promote our work. I feel like once you use all your social media accounts, hit up any forums related to your topic, reddit, and network with people you know, you're really out of places...

What's the best way to promote your hubs? Can you rely on traffic from Hubpages alone or is it necessary to keep promoting your hubs? If it is necessary to promote. Does anyone have any suggestions of the best avenues? Thank you in advance

Just curious, anyone here using PPC advertising to promote their Hubs? Like Adsense, Facebook Ads, etc? If so, what's been your success?
