Do you think that twitter and facebook campaigns have a place in determining U.S. foreign policy?
Considering the recent YouTube download by "Invisible Children Inc." regarding Kony, the leader of the Lord's Resistance Army; what do you think of using social media tools to help decide what actions we should take as a nation? Does the average person take the time to look at the pros and cons of what is being presented or jump on board because it is the thing to do? I ask as someone who lived in Uganda during the time that the atrocities by Kony were taking place in the North and have been involved with Invisible Children periodically since returning home.
If it can help get the word out and save these children - Absolutely!!
Twitter//facebook are a great tool to get information out there. If use properly it can help get awareness.
Getting what pulse f what people want is a good way to determine what course the government should take but ofcourse within reason.

Does social networking bring us closer together, or further apart? While sites like facebook and twitter enable us to share vast amounts of our lives with others in an instant, are our intereactions in fact becoming shallower?

Hey, is anyone aware of a site that amalgamates both Twitter and Facebook into one stream? This would make social media much easier to manage. Thanks - climberjames
