    1.  Click on the pencil icon in the top-right corner of the "Friends" box on your profile.
    2. You will have three options to adjust under Friends and Family: Relationship status, Family and Friends. Click on the drop down menu to the right of Friends option.
    3.  Select "Only Me" This will prevent your Friend List from appearing in your profile.

There ya go, hope this helps!

I can tell you what worked for me, what i did was this hide your friend list on Facebook to control who can see the people you're connected with. Here's how to do it on both the Facebook website and mobile app:-
      On the Facebook Website:-
      1. Log in to your Facebook account on a web browser.
      2. Click your profile picture in the top right corner.
      3. Select Settings & Privacy from the menu that appears.
      4. Click on Settings.
      5. In the left-hand menu, navigate to the Privacy section.
      6. Scroll down to the section titled "How People Find and Contact You".
      7. Find the option "Who can see your friends list?".
      8. Click Edit next to it.
      9. You'll see a dropdown menu with several options:
-Public:- Anyone on Facebook can see your friend list.
-Friends:- Only your Facebook friends can see your friend list.
-Friends except:- Lets you exclude specific friends from seeing your list.
-Specific Friends:- Lets you choose exactly who can see your friend list.
-Only Me:- Makes your friend list completely private, visible only to yourself.
      10. Choose the option you prefer and click Save.

      On the Facebook Mobile App:-
      1. Open the Facebook app on your phone or tablet.
      2. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the bottom right corner (Android) or top right corner (iPhone).
      3. Scroll down and tap Settings & Privacy.
      4. Select Settings.
      5. Under the Audience and Visibility section, tap How People Find and Contact You.
      6. Tap the blue box next to Who can see your friends list?.
      7. Choose your desired privacy level from the options mentioned earlier (Public, Friends, etc.).
      8. If you choose Friends except or Specific Friends, you'll need to tap Done to confirm your selection.
