    Can eReaders, Tablets or iPads Get Computer Viruses Like A Computer? If so, what can you use to protect your mobile device or similar device from viruses?

    Theoretically, yes. But I wouldn't worry: no-one writes viruses for e-readers, and some have anti-virus software anyway. Tablets have anti-virus software built in, and iPads are so locked down it's very difficult for viruses to affect them. That may change soon however - remember when all those Macs got infected recently?

    if you can install stuff in them, you can get viruses in them. Even symbian  cellphones (symbian is an OS for DCT-4 . . .i think, nokia cellphones.) have viruses. I think there can be viruses for those devices too.

    A virus is simply a malicious program that can be executed (or run) on any device that processes binary data. In short, all electronic devices that process binary bits CAN get computer viruses. read more

    YES, I have infected my Android phone before with viruses and I have now learnt about protecting the phone, i pads and the tablets with necessary precautionary measures.
