Do you ever feel guilty for using software that companies willingly offer for free?
I was looking for PowerPoint to Video conversion software online today and found one that was $49.95 and another service that is free. It's really hard for me NOT to pay for software I know is powerful and has taken so much time to develop. It befuddles me that so much is free. Do you ever feel the same as I do even though you know companies advertise this way and that they have advanced versions that they sell? It just seems very uncomfortable to me
I do not feel guilty due to the fact that I am well aware of the fact that companies use the download this version free method or buy this one because free software usually does not have all of its content available and they make it available in the purchased version, so once again, no I do not feel guilty.
True. The software I downloaded today was sooo great, but I might just upgrade to see if it offers even more features. Sometimes, if a site has the donate button, I like to contribute because I really appreciate great software.
I don't feel guilty when I use a program for free because some I use for free because it serves its purpose and some I pay for because it offers much more features. It depends.
No i do not. My motto is "if it's free then it's for me"! Why should i pay when i can get for free. Only if i really need the software then i will pay.
I want to be kind, but I find the "why should I pay when I can get it for free" attitude disturbing. That's not to say that yesterday I didn't use free software, I did because it was offered, but I would have felt much better paying at least a little
