What is your favorite Google Doodle of all time?
Do you look forward to Google Doodles? You know, those graphical variations of the Google logo that appear to commemorate special days. Personally, I look forward to them. Do you have a favorite Google Doodle? If so, please share.
I really liked the Google Doodle from this past Valentine's Day. It was an interactive one with a picture of a circus. You would press the Play button and the Ferris wheel would spin and randomly match up two circus animals that would have a date. It then showed something like three comic strip pictures which described what happened that night. There were several sets of animals and their dates all ended in different ways (most of them good). My favorite was the one with the octopus. I think it got matched with the dancing bear. When the comic strip part came up it showed them having a good time until the bear took the octopus into a sushi bar! The look on the octopus' face was hilarious!
I like a lot of them. The one from Mother's Day last year was nice. I liked the Sesame Street one, and one that was related to (I think) women's history or rights. The recent Irish step dancers were very cute.
I was very surprised, too, when I saw the one with cake and other goodies on it; and when I clicked to see what it was it was a "Happy Birthday" one (to me). Very cute.

I know its not very often we thank Google in hubland, thanks to their frequent algorithm changes and cyber meddling with updates. I wanted perhaps to break the trend, simply because of the unintended benefits of today's Google doodle. You see, today is the anniversary of Peter Carl Fabergé's...

Why isn't my personally favorite tasting vegetable (parsnips) more popular with everyone? The parsnip ( Pastinaca sativa) is my favorite tasting of all vegetables. I enjoy them raw or cooked or for that matter burned to a crisp on our grill. Yet it is one of the least favorite vegetables and can be...
