I have. An entire set of bedroom furniture once. I've sold several things successfully -furniture, televisions, dvd's, and a kitchen appliance. I also met my husband through a personals ad there. But, of course, I didn't pay for him.
It's a great and useful tool. People do tend to be flaky. If you're selling anything big (furniture, etc.), a lot of folks will want to 'come look' and never show or never respond after they send the first email. If it's gotta go fast, CL isn't always great - unless you're going to toss it into a bargain basement. BUT, it's wonderful if you have a little time and patience.
NO. There is a lot of criminal activity on that site and I can't afford that.
Not much, but I bought a stove off of Craigslist, it was a good deal and a good experience.
I tried Craigslist, and while it works for many, it doesn't suit me. I found that the item I listed attracted many lowballers. They tried to negotiate to the point where the item was so cheap and worthless in price it was a joke. So, I only sell on eBay now.
Of course the question is if I BUY off of Craigslist, and my answer would be NO. Same reason, many flakes and criminal activity and some questionable content.
Yes, I have bought several things off of craigslist. You have to be careful and picky of what you are looking for. I recently bought two cars off of craigslist a k10 blazer and a 1963 c10 chevy. I have purchased other things as well and have not had a problem.
No, I have never bought from Craig's list, but I do look at the listings. I may find something I think I need someday. Craig's list has more than just merchandise for sale. It has job listings, event announcements and real estate listings for rentals as well as properties for sale or lease. It has personal ads and discussion forums. It's much like looking a classified section of your local newspaper. Where ever the city or region is, it may have a Craig's list page for that area..

I'm just curious if you have ever used it, and how successful you have been in trade with it. I got a hamster from it before, but it was the most untamed thing ever and I couldn't handle it. So my friend took it from me. I had paid a small amount for it. Now, I got two mice from there (still trying...
