   What's the secret to getting likes on Facebook?
   
   I have a Facebook page (not a personal page) and have only got 2 likes in a year. Not a very good track record!

   I have a fan page as well, eugbug, not a personal page. I got it only to market my business and my hubs. I noticed the same about not getting a lot of likes. But then I noticed more likes come in when I make a random post of advice or wisdom. These "status" posts end up having twice as many likes as posts coupled with a link to one of my hubs. It seems that my followers are more interested in what I have to say or share in the moment than what I share in an article. I think it's the social media culture, similar to Twitter.

      Since stats are unavailable for Facebook, I don't know whether anyone is even visiting my page. Also there is some anomaly where my avatar doesn't appear when I make a post or add a comment to other Facebook pages.

      I do receive monthly stats but have the same problem when I try to post. I think it has to do with not having a personal page.

      I gave my personal page administrator privileges over my "business" page and it sorted this problem. So now I can comment, share and post. (Must resist the urge to Spam!)

   Posting interesting content and more importantly pictures seem to be the big things these days.

   Post lots of fun things, not just the links you want to advertise. Think of your target audience and get relevant ideas that way. For example, if you wrote a lot about pop culture and wanted that audience to follow you then you'd "share" things about upcoming movies and TV shows, etc.
   
   Also, you can try following pages similar to yours and asking for a like in return.
