My wife is addicted to Facebook - she works on her farm, her cafe, looks after her pet etc - this all happens at 5:00am - she then updates everything about 9:00am on break and then at 5:00PM after work!

She uses the computer that is hooked up to the TV so it's very frustrating for me - so much so that I think I'm gonna buy here a laptop just to get her off the TV!!!

So I want her to go 'cold-turkey' and go on a 12-step plan....

    'My name is....and I'm a Facebook Addict'!!!!

I guess be glad it's only facebook and nothing life threatening! big_smile  I'm not addicted to it, but I do go on everyday to tend the farm. there's something therapeutic about harvesting and going to the market and selling the crops. I usually go on for a short time in the morn. and at night before I go to bed.
her own laptop might be a great solution and wow, what a nice gift for her! hey, maybe start your own farm!

Sorry about that SC no steps for FB. I am no longer addicted because my internet keeps screwing it up so it gets annoying so I am not on there as much lol

Yeah, buy her the laptop! smile

I bought a netbook for my wife and she loves it.  We can each do our own thing online with no need to wait around for the computer to be free.

As for FB, I'm a little addicted myself, so I clicked this thread hoping to find some answers! lol

Smiley C I have the same problem with my BF. We have to wait to go out until the farm is done! I tried offering him experience points for taking out the trash but that didn't seem to matter. I even offered for him to level up if he did the laundry but no dice! I know what you are going though.. big_smile

I say we just cut the facebook cord to the net and then all will be safe from the net pervs who use it as a trolling ground for teenage girls and bored housewives.

Step 1:  Admit you are powerless over checking the FB News Feed, peeking in on your friend's photos and posting random quotes on your status.  Wait...hold that thought, I need to post something...

Awww you guys are too funny...

Before Facebook was on the scene , Yahoo got the bash and no doubt in the near future it will be some other site, to be honest everyones kinda right , it is addictive or in its innocent state ,a curiousity. Humans created it and its part of our creative nature (IMO)...But I'm not addicted to booze or suffer from sexsleeping ( like sleepwalking) apparently  lol
or drugs AND I just earned 20K in Texas Poker last week ...hehe

Plus Jane I replanted some more corn for ya lol

HP is addictive too!  For awhile I loved facebook , but I got tired of logging on only to see who had befriended who!  Now I am on the Hub about 3 hours a day - it is so much fun - I do my hubs and then surf the forums chatting with "my buddies" and being silly - because otherwise I get no opportunity to laugh and be silly.  I think the alternative addictions she might indulge are far worse, and you probably know how very lucky you are, right?

Haha, she wouldn't be the only one. My friend's mother is on her farm, cafe, etc. everytime she gets...always sending me gifts. I won't lie; I was addicted to some word find game on facebook but I somehow went cold turkey and escape the addiction. ;D
