Did Facebook Ever Take Money from Your Bank Account?
Lots of people were discussing about Facebook taking $49 from their banks on the Facebook forum. The Facebook fees were for promotion advertising of Facebook members, even though they didn't renew their promotions, it seems Facebook stole their money.
I did not know this. Was it part of buying ads or similar?
Yes it's part of buying ads. If the Facebook customer previously bought ads in the past, Facebook used that information to take funds from their bank.
That sounds at least unethical. I hope customers can take effective action to stop this and receive refunds.
@ Patty, The only way to get a refund is to call the bank and have the fees taken off. But explain to the bank what happened, which is filing a claim with the bank. I hope Mike Zuckerberg isn't practicing something like that again.
I haven't heard anything about this, I know people who have bought ads/advertising on FB, but didn't know/hear anything about their money being taking.
