Should we be worried about Artificial Intelligence robots exceeding human intelligence?
According to Hanson Robotics the creators of AI lifelike robots, within 3 to 5 years, robots will reach singularity where they will become as smart as humans and then surpass human intelligence, reaching Godlike super intelligence shortly after.
If it is just sitting on a server mining data for new cures for unusual diseases, no.
If we're trying to delegate decision making to it, yes, especially since the AI will reflect the biases of Big Tech companies that are already proven to be far left. When the censor libertarians, ex-Muslims and conservatives from Facebook to Twitter to YouTube (Google), you know any AI trying to moderate public discussions will have the same or worse discrimination ... and the creators will say it is neutral because it is a machine, instead of admitting it is systematically oppressing it per its programming or what it was "taught" by its creators.
I don't like AI having medical decision making authority, either. The quality of life years model puts a low value on life early and late in life, and we already had Medicare adjust its cancer screenings for the old to a longer interval because it doesn't care if more of them die of cancer. Now have an AI with such a low value for life deciding to ration or outright deny care, especially when liberals have already said all conservatives are stupid or crazy, we don't want them around. Do you now get denied life saving surgery because of your political views or because you're the wrong ethnicity? Or do your kids suffer waiting longer for antibiotics because in the name of equity and fairness, your family has to be discriminated against now?
