Country Inn and Suites by Carlson in Lawrenceville Georgia Hotel Review
Lawrenceville Georgia Hotel
If you're staying in Lawrenceville, and you're not quite sure where to stay, I'm highly advising you to stay at the Country Inn and Suites on Duluth Hwy.
When you walk in, it's a quaint and cozy lobby. In a way, it reminds me of Homewood Suites in Lawrenceville, Georgia (which you can check out the review below).
The night receptionist was friendly, which was definitely a nice start to the two day stay. He was able to direct us to the nearest gas station, as one of the tires on our truck was low (problematic tire... Ugh).
When we made it back to the hotel, the king sized bed was very inviting. The pillows were a little to fluffy for me, but with two, they were fine to sleep with.
The main problem that I had with the first night, which was corrected upon night two by turning on the AC to drown out the noises.... Road noise. The hotel is on Duluth Highway, so there is road noise that you'll have to deal with. And, the miniature fridge that's in the room makes a constant leaky water sound. That was a pain to deal with, but upon night two, all I had to do was turn on the AC and all the noises disappeared. The noises may not bother everyone, but I like a nice and quiet place to sleep; even at home I have to turn on a fan to drown out my dog snoring, so that could be something that won't bother everyone.
The overall hotel was very clean. The elevator button on the third floor was broke the first time I tried to use it, but it was quickly fixed.
There are three floors with 17 suites. No pets are allowed on the property and every room is a smoke-free room. The receptionist informed us that they require smoke-less and pet-less rooms to keep the hotel at its cleanest.
They do offer wake-up calls, continental breakfast, and free wireless internet.
The small, samples in the bathroom are of quality brands, which was a surprise that unlike other hotels, this one offers Vaseline lotion, Listerine mouth wash, and Pantene shampoo and conditioner.
As for the breakfast, the hotel offers: muffins, cereal, biscuits, patty sausage (to make sausage biscuits with), sliced cheese, grits (offered on Sunday but not on my Saturday stay), waffles, and fruits.
Overall, my two day stay was very nice. I would definitely stay at this location again, and I probably will, as it is only a 10 minute ride to the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, which I tend to visit at least once or twice a year for a regular expo that they have.
If you're in north Atlanta- Lawrenceville area, stay at the Country Inn and Suites by Carlson Lawrenceville! For the price, whether you're staying just a few nights in Atlanta or a week or longer, Country Inn and Suits is a great place to stay.
