Northern California.  Monterrey, Point Lobos, San Francisco-those are wonderful places to visit.

San Antonio, Texas is a close runner up to San Francisco as far as awesome American cities are concerned.

Monterrey Mexico is the coolest place outside of THIS country that I've been.

it's hard to pick just one - the incredible high deserts of Iran and eastern Turkey rival the SW US.  the himalayan mountains are truly unmatched, yet the andes of peru, and the canadian rockies in fall are contenders that i have visited

for me, though, the most incredible place i've ever visited is easily antarctica

Maroon Bells wilderness in Colorado> the four pass loop trail around the Maroon bells is jaw dropping mountainscape with indian brush and columbine flowers everywhere. In the fall the golden aspens add to the unbelievable glory of it all.
