I wasn't sure where this belonged ... Travel, Technology? Sandpit? I hope I picked well ...

If time travel were possible, would you go into the past or the future, what time period would you go to, and what would you do?

Skies the limit ... Go anywhere, any time, and do whatever you want ... I just want the itinerary for your trip.

    So, let's hear it, smile

Are you forgetting their less cultured side - the part about live human sacfrifices?

As for my answer to the OP question, I'd go back to April 1992 and listen better to my body. But I can't so it's wishful thinking smile

Well just remember to keep a safe distance if ever you get there. Don't get caught or you'll be minus your heart wink

I think in all reality if time travel were possible, the only place to go would be forwards because essentially; even if you traveled into the past, it would be present time...*scratching my head*

If you assume the Many Worlds Hypothesis...which removes the "kill your grandfather" paradox...then you can't necessarily "profit" off it either way...so I would go into the future and see something new...

Travel in time and miss what's gonna happen next? No Way! But, a teleporter sure would be handy!

Always the future, we already know the past!

but the future is unwritten and can change at a moments notice. so how do you know the future you are visiting is one that is going to be there when it actually comes. ?

If time travel were possible--and I could go anywhere, anywhen??  I think London, about the 1860's, mid Victorian era.  See if I could look up Dickens or maybe Sir Aurthur Conan Doyle.  Just get that atmosphere...

I'd go back to the Triassic period, check out some dinosaurs.

me too. that would be incredible to see those creatures in person.

i would also like to be with Michelangelo as he is painting the Sistine Chapel. i wouldn't disturb him - just hand him paintbrushes and whatnot.

finally i would go to the 50's beat scenes when Kerouac and all those guys were at the height of their glory and hang out with them. i would have made a good beatnik, i think. nice topic, BTW...

I would go to the past and take what I know now and change the past...maybe enjoy it more.  However, I would rather be a teleporter (just for the record) smile  Great question
