The best country in Europe (however not in the European Union) is Switzerland. It is still neutral but has many mutual agreements with the EU, so you get the many perks of a huge organizations without the downfalls. Also, Switzerland is a very stable country with relatively little crime and not much unemployment as well as amazing scenery.

Out of all the places I have visited around the world... Scotland is the only place that felt like home.  That feeling of home was immediate.  The time I spent there seemed like another world.  Scotland I do miss.
