Would you like to live in a foreign country?

If you had the choice of living in a foreign country, which country would you pick and give a reason for your choice.

Yes, but my family would have to be on board as well and I doubt they would.

I have been lucky enough to have already lived in several foreign countries.  In the past, I've lived in Slovenia, Singapore and Japan and spent a great deal of time in Thailand in addition.  I'd have to say, of those, Slovenia is by far the best: small and compact yet incredibly varied with Adriatic coastline and alpine mountains, vineyards and forests.  The people are wonderful and they have a real love of the outdoors.

I used to think it would be nice living in Mexico in one of the small coastal towns but with all the drug wars and crime going on over the past few years, I think I'll stay in the U.S.

I would love to live in Nice, France, but would settle for Sorrento, Italy or anywhere along the Amalfi Coast.

I have lived abroad for a few months at a time and i can say it's one of the best things you can do. Different job, environment and culture! It's brilliant!

I wouldn't be migrating if I had a choice since it I find it more comfortable to live in my own country and don't need to adjust my culture and language. But since the question is if I had to pick a foreign country to live in, I think I'd choose Italy or Brazil. The people are friendly, which is similar to my own country. And there are lots of beautiful places I can go to. Another reason is the food in Italy and the great festivals in Brazil big_smile

India and Sweden. India (Kashmir) for the rich culture and beautiful countryside while I chose Sweden for its natural beauty.

I would love to live in the United Kingdom, especially in England, in the countryside south of London, because it is beautiful, or in the Scottish countryside for the same reason...it's very peaceful and beautiful.
