Patients with heart disease would have to be very careful when travelling. Here are number of things that you can do to prepare for your trip.
- short stays are better than longer trips
-talk to your family doctor and cardiologist before booking your ticket
-Make sure you have your prescriptions
-get travel insurance
-talk to your travel agent and the hotel where you are staying
-eat like you are at home - don't take anything for granted
-don't eat salt foods
-make sure you take your pills regularly
-find out if there is a hospital near by to your vacation place - always good to know
-don't do activities that are not compatible with your heart.
-take extra precaution when you are on trips
-know your heart conditions - don't ignore it while on your trip.
