Have you ever visited the 18th century Fortress of Louisbourg in Canada?
The Fortress of Louisbourg, it is actually a fortified, walled town, was built by the French, with construction starting in 1719, to defend the entrance to the Gulf of St. Lawrence which was the gateway to the water route leading to the heart of North America. The Fort played a role in the colonial wars between France and England. Located on Nova Scotia's Cape Brenton Island, this is a major Canadian historic site.
