How successful has space tourism been so far?
We rarely hear much about space tourism. Fewer than ten people have paid for tickets and gone touring the space above our heads. Could it be far above the general society's cut financially?
Way too pricey for the average citizen. Not something I'd want to do.
I think it is way too expensive for most people--of course! Then, once you are a multimillionaire, you probably are older and have a family--less ready for risky travel.
I like the idea of awarding space flights as prizes for excellent science students.
I wanted to join the teachers in space program, (but it is for teachers of children, and I teach adults) and also I entered a contest years ago that I really wanted to win-- the prize was a trip to space. The person who won took the money instead of the trip. Sigh.
I'm not sure if I would go now, (my older son asked me to please stop trying!), but I would have before... and I might later.
