Summer is coming, where would you go for vacation this year?

Or, would you rather stay home?

I live in the UK and would love to go to Cyprus or Mexico for our summer holiday. Lie on a beach and soak up the sun's rays while relaxing and sipping cocktails. Unfortunately, this year it will not be possible as we have decided to do some home improvements. We will be going to Scotland to visit my parents and brother, and spend a few days in the Highlands before returning home.

In September we have booked to go to the New Forrest in Hampshire, UK for a week which we are looking forward to. We will be staying in a lodge in the middle of the forrest.

Our plans are to redecorate the house and next year we will definitely have our vacation somewhere hot.

I would go to Germany. I just had a grandson in December but have not been able to get over there to see him and hold him yet.

With all due respect, as a resident of Orlando my least favorite time to be in Orlando is Hurricane Season sprinkled with dead (Duldrums-like) sticky hot weather; that I would argue would fall between May and September/October. The season I like to call H-E double hockey sticks...
Although I have not ventured to; perhaps, Chile or a cooler part of Aussie-land or even the blique yet spectacular Arctic would be worth an investment of time...
I do frequent (every leap year) a most beautiful area of Ontario, Canada in June, July and/or August called Muskoka. It is truly beautiful and teeming with "good" life, friendships, parties, boating excursions and fine and pleasant miseries mostly reserved for June or more profoundly known as black fly season...
