Have you ever used the InterRail around Europe?
Any advice for a person considering doing this during the Summer?
Yes, but back in 1977! It was great. I bought a Eur-rail pass and just went wherever I wanted to go next for about a month. There's a great annual guide, Let's Go Europe! that should help you out.
Yes in 1972 - it was absolutely wonderful though in those days you couldn't go east of the Iron Curtain. We travelled by night sometimes and visited places during the day but it was very exhausting so try to take your time as you're tempted to rush around everywhere. Maybe have some kind of plan - but not too rigid.
I can remember sleeping for 3 days on returning home!
